“ First of all Amber is legit! She took care if us today, she was friendly, chatted, honest, made some killer drinks especially per my husband Old Fashions. The food however was over the top. We started with the loaded Cajun fries, hear me out... Fries, with melted shredded cheese, andouille sausage chunks, green onion and gravy. Don't give me that look, the flavors meld in such a way that the entire dish just hits. We each had the fried seafood combo, my husband chose the shrimp and catfish with half fries half onion rings. The catfish was flaky and the shrimp was what you'd expect fried shrimp to be, just flat out good. Onion rings were on point and fries once again were delicious. I had the fried shrimp and fried catfish tails with fries, nothing on my plate disappointed. Everything was perfectly battered and seasoned remarkably. We also had an order of hush puppies, half original and the other half jalapeno, so dang good. Not really sure where this place has been when we're in St Joseph but it will be on the list when we go back. If you're looking for delicious Louisiana style Cajun Grub and you're in St Joseph don't even think about it just go! Do not sleep in this spot and if you try the fried alligator let me know your thoughts, I'll try that next time! ”
“ Great place. Great food. Great people. Would definitely go again. ”
“ The seafood courtbullion was tasty with shrimp and fish. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The atmosphere was nice with the business housed in an older building downtown. Highly recommend if you are looking for good food with a Louisiana flair far from Louisiana! ”
“ We were in town and were looking for a good place to eat. This did not disappoint! We really enjoyed our whole experience. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, so it was not busy, and we were able to park close. My crab cakes were great, and I like being able to get a mix of fries and onion rings. ”
“ I have been to Boudreaux's more times than I can count. The food has been excellent every time. They have recently relocated to a new building, and the food service seems to have slowed a little. The servers are still very attentive, and my drink never went empty. I miss the fantastic old school bar, but they seem to have decorated to a more modern New Orleans atmosphere. Overall the restaurant remains great! ”
“ **Great dining experience at Boudreaux's!** The oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious, and the catfish was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend for authentic Louisiana flavors. Will definitely be back! ”
“ This place was awesome, and the Jambalaya is amazing. We will absolutely be back. The atmosphere is perfect, the bar is beautiful, and the food was out of this world. Prices were great, and the lunch menu helps. ”
“ During a day trip to St Joe in mid-May of 2025, a Google listing for seafood caught our eye. This is how we ended up at Boudreaux's Louisiana Seafood & Steaks. We ordered the Sexy Raz for a drink, the Fried Alligator for appetizer. The Broiled Red snapper with Dirty Rice and a Tuna steak with Potatoes Bordeaux for our entrees and finally the Bourbon pecan pie for dessert. The food had great flavor and the portions were adequate. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. And the prices were reasonable. Access to the building is a little of a mystery as the big signs are over doors that are marked as exit only. The main entrance is on the side street from the parking lot, with no signs at the time of our visit. I will place Boudreaux's in my list of places to return when I'm in the area. ”
